The Oilery at Edmund Farms

We’re building a local oil economy.

At Edmund Farms, we partner with nearby farms and processors to recover fats, grow oil crops, and produce essential goods closer to home. Our goal is to reduce dependence on centralized supply chains by rebuilding these systems locally.

It takes time—but it’s already underway.

Our Compass

The Oilery begins with essential products—food oils, soaps, and other care goods—but it doesn’t stop there.

We are working toward a broader local system built on the same foundation: recovering and producing the materials our community depends on. That includes future energy production through biodiesel and biogas, using the same inputs and partnerships that support our current work.

This work is grounded in both practical agriculture and technical experience. Our processes are built with the same emphasis on consistency, safety, and quality used in regulated manufacturing environments.

The goal is not just to make products, but to rebuild the capacity to produce essentials locally—step by step.

We’re actively building the partnerships and supply needed to make that happen.

The Oilery At Edmund Farms

While supplies last, we are offering small batches of our process development soaps.

Each bar represents part of the work required to build a truly local product. We test, refine, and iterate using oils capable of being sourced as close to home as possible. If an ingredient cannot be produced regionally, it is not part of our base formulation.

At this stage, not all oils are sourced locally. These products exist to help us build the demand and infrastructure required to make that possible. These batches helped shape our final products—they are high quality, but limited. Once they are gone, they will not be reproduced.

Our standard soap formulations, oils, and animal fats are coming soon.
